Bed, Breakfast & Bring Your
Trenethick is essentially an organic beef and arable farm, with strong equestrian links. Horses have been on the farm for hundreds of years so we’re serious about them, both at the purely fun level as well as competitively.
The Carpenter family have farmed at Trenethick since 1760. In 1999, John Carpenter decided to farm organically and now has fully converted status. We believe this has a positive effect on all the stock grazing, as nature intended, on the farm: the evidence is there to see in the condition and temperament of both horses and cattle.
Amanda competes and hunts regularly on her own horses. She is actively involved in local equestrian activities, holds clinics, occasional competitions and fundraisers for various disciplines at Trenethick and teaches too. The yard has a wonderful feel – it’s peaceful and happy for horses and their owners.
